When investigated in Amman, GRAPHIC DESIGN required explication which the participants felt should relate to print design, and which denotes a design discipline that is inherently visual.
Technique
Participants yielded a translation by using more signifiers to cover syntactic or lexical gaps (the complex meaning of the Source Language word is amplified or distributed over several words in the Target Language).

هو نهج إبداعي فني هدفه إيصال رسالة معينة (أو مجموعة رسائل) للجمهور المستهدف، وغالباً يكون منتجه تصميم أو تشكيل بصري وطباعي. اقترح المشاركون بالورشة الثالثة (عمّان) استخدام هذه الترجمة، والتي قد تكون متداولة ضمن الحوار المترجم للإعلام الرسمي في الأردن بهذا الصياغ.
