GRASSROOTS required explicitation which conveys the bottom-up nature of an initiative or movement. The yielded translation (lit: related to source/ base) would have to be used as a descriptor to describe a GRASSROOTS organization, or movement, or initiative, etc.
Technique
Participants yielded a translation by substituting the term with another in the Arabic language having the same meaning (which occurs when a Source Text word does not exist in the Target Language).
