GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE required explicitation of the "conscious" response that such networks have towards the ecosystem within both rural and urban settings. Participants opted not to literally translate "green" so as to distinguish GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE as a planned network of both natural and man-made systems.
Participants yielded a translation by using more signifiers to cover syntactic or lexical gaps (the complex meaning of the Source Language word is amplified or distributed over several words in the Target Language).
هو مفهوم يدل على أنظمة وشبكات ضمن البنية التحتية المرتبطة مع أنظمة بيئية أو طبيعية، والتي تقوم بدعم والحفاظ على الوظائف البيئية في المدينة. اقترح المشاركون بالورشة السادسة (بيروت) استخدام هذه الترجمة والتي هي غير متداولة ضمن الحوار المترجم للإعلام الرسمي، مع الحرص بالتأكيد أن تلك الأنظمة والبنيات ليست حرفيًا "خضراء".
