INFORMALITY was translated literally (i.e. without explicitation) though the translation yielded in Beirut depends on a lexical substitution (lit: [a state of] haphazardness] which could infer negative connotations in regions of the Arabic speaking milieu (and should be used with sensitivity).
Participants yielded a translation by making a lexical change which made the Target Text longer than the Source Text (an explanatory rephrasing of one Source Language term into several words in the Target Language).
