التعدي أو التغول
ENCROACHMENT required explicitation which conveys the act of extending one’s (spatial) right at the expense of others' whilst being explicit that this act is not inherently violent. The translation yielded substitutes the conceptual meaning of ENCROACHMENT with that of "infringement" to ensure that this distinction is maintained and can be appropriately used in the context of the Arab city.
Participants yielded a translation by substituting the term with another in the Arabic language having the same meaning (which occurs when a Source Text word does not exist in the Target Language).
