When investigated in Cairo, AFFECTIVE ECONOMY required explicitation which could convey the inherent emotional imperative that is utilized to influence consumption (lit: economy of added emotional value). The yielded translation could require a syntactic rephrasing according to its application in the target text.

Participants yielded a translation by making a lexical change which made the Target Text longer than the Source Text (an explanatory rephrasing of one Source Language term into several words in the Target Language).
