EXURBAN required explicitation which identifies it as that which extends beyond the fringe of the SUBURBAN and is yet implicitly in relation to it (not referring to that which is rural nor to what is URBAN).
Technique
Participants yielded a translation by making a lexical change which made the Target Text longer than the Source Text (an explanatory rephrasing of one Source Language term into several words in the Target Language).

هو مصطلح يستخدم لوصف حلقة من مَراكزَ (مدنية أو قروية) مُنْفَصلة خارج نطاق الضواحي (وقد تكون متصلة بها من خلال وسائط النقل). اقترح المشاركون بالورشة الثانية (عمّان) استخدام هذه الترجمة، والتي هي متداولة ضمن الحوار المترجم للإعلام الرسمي في الأردن.
